NEW YORK, NY  [Wednesday Jan.4.2006]  /RedBoxCode.com/ -- The nominations keep rolling in for Mariah Carey.

Besides being in the running for eight Grammy Awards, Carey leads the nominations for the third annual Groovevolt.com Music & Fashion Awards. The singer scored six nods, including one for Album of the Year and another for Best Pop Album for "The Emancipation of Mimi."

Carey's hit single, "We Belong Together," also earned nominations for Best Song Performance Pop (Female), Best Song Performance R&B/Soul (Female), and Song of the Year. The pop singer's sixth nomination is in the category of Best Deep Cut Pop for an unreleased album track for the song "Circles."

Other nominees for the 2006 Groovevolt.com awards include the Gorillaz, Gwen Stefani, U2, Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, Green Day, Destiny's Child, and many more.
