LOS ANGELES, CA  [Monday Jul.25.2005]  /RedBoxCode.com/ -- The Teen Choice Awards just got a little more rocking, thanks to Simple Plan.

According to the band's official web site, Simple Plan is set to play the 2005 Teen Choice Awards show, which takes place next month in Los Angeles. The band is in the running for the Best Rock Group award.

Gwen Stefani is also performing at this year's event, and comedian Rob Schneider and actress-singer Hilary Duff will handle hosting duties.

The 2005 Teen Choice Awards airs Tuesday, August 16th, at 8 pm ET/7 pm CT on FOX.
