LOS ANGELES, CA  [Friday Apr.22.2005]  /RedBoxCode.com/ -- Every day is Earth Day for Jack Johnson, especially when he's on the road.

The surfer-singer is passionate about preserving the environment, and that's why the buses and trucks for his upcoming tour will run on biodiesel fuel and the venues where Johnson plays will all have recycling stations, reports RollingStone.com.

Says Johnson, "We're in a position, as a band where we can make choices that are positive ones -- to find little ways to make less waste on the road."

During Johnson's headlining tour, a special CD/DVD package will be sold exclusively at the shows. All the proceeds from the CD/DVD will go to the non-profit organization, 1% for the Planet.

Johnson launches his North American headlining tour beginning August 1 in Houston. He's also playing a few festival dates in April and June. Johnson is on the road to support his latest album "In Between Dreams."
